For your consideration…

We all want to belong. This is because we are meant to belong to family, groups, friendships, etc. We are not meant to be an island. We feel good and secure when we find our place.

Our message today tells us that things change. Just because we found our place and are comfortable does not mean that it is a forever place. Because we felt like we were a part of something we loved or supported, we can overlook the changes…changes we are not comfortable with. It is hard when we start to get those nagging feelings of disappointment or unhappiness. We don’t want to “uproot” ourselves. We don’t want to disappoint others. But sometimes friendships, groups, etc. change. They no longer represent our values. Whether it is because they changed or we changed, does not matter. What matters is that we accept that it is what it is and move on.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…I am loved.

-Remember…You are the keeper of your light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Accept things change and find your “new spot.”

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-A trip into town; got air in my tires, bought some tickets, had dinner, and dropped some things off at Shannon’s. My car is finally almost empty.

-Some more shelves were installed and I was able to unpack some more boxes.

-Catching up with Mary and Cathy.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
