For your consideration…

It used to be that we turned on our TV and listened to the news to find out what was going on. My husband went to work early every day to read the Detroit Free Press to get all of his information. Dr. Spock was the expert on all things about babies. It was unfathomable that it would be untrue, deliberately or not. We assumed announcers, journalists, experts had done their research and reported what was true. But time has changed all that. Holes were poked in Dr. Spoke’s expertise and replaced by other experts that done the same too. Announcers, journalists, and publications all carry a bias.

This sounds doom and gloom but it is not. We are being forced to search for truth on our own. We are being forced to get back in touch with our instincts and feel truth registering in our spirit.

We are reminded today to accept nothing unless we know beyond a shadow of a doubt it is true. We might think this is will be stressful but it is not. When we don’t let ourselves become sucked in to other people’s rhetoric, we will find ourselves more peaceful. When we take personal responsibility for our own truth, we will find peace.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of your light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Remember…The only truth is what YOU know to be true.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-Some outdoor work done.

-Catching up with Alex.

-I was able to get tickets for DSO’s winter concert.

-Some cards made.

-A new book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
