For your consideration…

Hmmm…at first this message may seem like a divergence from other messages. So it may take us a minute to pause and think about it.

Our message is, “Take your attention off of your goal and focus on the mundane task in front of you.”

We might be thinking about what happened to “Keep your eye on the prize.” “Never lose sight of your goal.” etc.

Knowing out goal/purpose or seeking what they are is still key. We need to have them present in our lives. Our message is telling us that making them our sole focus and front and center keeps us from connecting to what is right in front of us. It keeps us front the tasks and steps we need to take to reach or identify our goal/purpose.

Knowing what you want and then waiting to do nothing to obtain it is unrealistic. My Mom used to say, “God helps those who help themselves.”

We are being asked to stay connected to the relative tasks at hand. When the “Aha” moment is supposed to come, it will come no matter what we are doing.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of your light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-You never know, you may be the link someone else needs. Stay present in the moment with whoever you are with.

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-Some baking done.

-Dinner made for our yearly girls gift wrapping party.

-Vicki, Kay, Jul, and Dianne all came for a good night of cheer.

-Catching up with Cathy and Shannon.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
