For your consideration…

On the original NCIS, Gibbs always says, “Never say you’re sorry. It’s a sign of weakness.” I love that show and the Gibbs character but Gibbs is not right.

Saying you’re sorry is not a sign of weakness. It is taking responsibility for our actions. It is trying to correct a mistake. It is trying to offer comfort to another.

But there are some conditions. Saying I’m sorry must be heartfelt. And it is without strings attached. In other words, it is not conditional on our apology being accepted, forgiveness given. It may or may not be.

What is important is that we do the right thing.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of your light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Own our actions and “I’m sorry.”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-Spending the morning with Conner and Owen and getting them off to school.

-Finally, after 3 months, I got some extra keys made for my shed and mailbox.

-Picking the boys up from school and spending the evening with them until Alex got home.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
