For your consideration…

Our message woke me up. I had never heard of “self-limiting behavior” until just a few days ago. I was put in the medical chart of a friend of mine.  It made me laugh because those 3 words are completely accurate and succinct in describing her. So when the message woke me up, my thoughts immediately went to her, and I checked the time to see if it was too early to call her. But as I laid there, the rest of the message came in.

The message tells us that most of us have “self-limiting behavior or beliefs” to some extent. Certainly not to the extreme degree of my friend, but certainly to a lesser extent. We are asked today to consider this. Ask ourselves, “What holds us back?” “Why?” “Is it a valid concern or is the risk worth taking?” “What does it hurt to try?” ETC.

Regardless of our age, we should always challenge ourselves, remain curious, and ask questions to foster growth.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Don’t self-limit ourselves.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-I finished Owen’s baby quilt.

-Dinner at the Moose.

-Catching up with Jody, Alex, AJ, and Shannon.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
