I offer myself as the grit in your oyster. Let us make pearls together!

For your consideration…

I love today’s message. It reminded me of my cataract surgery last Thursday. On Friday, my eye felt a little uncomfortable and gritty, but my eyesight was amazing. The discomfort for a few hours was so worth the result.

Of course, today’s message is deeper than my little experience. The oyster’s irritation from the grit is sustained over a much longer time period before the pearl is produced. This is a better example for today’s message. It is the example of overcoming life irritations, discomforts, and persevering until we are blessed with its rewards.

That is a the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of your light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Remember the irritation is worth the reward.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-We had it all from bright sun and blue skies to torrential rain with thunder and lightening.

-My newly planted plants loved it.

-Dinner at the Washtenaw Country Club with DKG friends for our last meeting until the end of summer.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
