For your consideration…

This seems like an odd message for a Monday when most people have had a couple of days off from work. But clearly our Guidance thinks that it is needed.

First, we are reminded to rest when we need rest. Second, we are reminded not to feel guilty about needing rest and stopping to get it.

The third part of our message is important for us to remember. Just because we are resting, offline, or taking some downtime, does not mean we are not being productive. Resting allows us to recharge our batteries. Resting allows us to shut out much of what is going on and focusing on a single or a fewer number of things. It allows us to clear our mind and be creative. It makes room for dreaming.

Rest is needed for growth. It is not a waste of time. There is no set time when it is required. We just need to take it when we need it.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of your light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

=Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Remember to rest when you feel you need it.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-Lots of stuff done around the house.

-Lori and Rod came for the night on their way to Florida.

-Beth and I went to U of M’s annual Halloween concert which was great.

-A good book.

-Shannon found family documents she needed that we forgot we had as well as some great photos. She is getting close to having everything she needs to apply for Irish dual citizenship.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
