Miguel Ruiz Quote: “You don't need to change the world; you need to change yourself.”

For your consideration…

Thinking of Mother Teresa, we are reminded that you don’t have to be big to change the world. She was a small woman who was able to make big changes and give extraordinary help and aid.

That is the first part of our message. It is also an example for the second part. The big change agent has to come from within ourselves. We have to change ourselves first.

When we see the news, it is constant bickering, arguing, anger, etc. Emphasis on the word “constant.” Nothing changes. It is an endless cycle. Clearly, that is not the way to a resolution. When we make changes within ourselves, we realize we don’t have to argue. We don’t have to stand in bitterness and negativity. Instead, we stand in our own truth and in peace.

We are reminded today that we don’t have to engage in bitter debates. We don’t have to take sides. We own our own truth. We don’t have to defend it. We simply have to live with it.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of your light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Remember…You own your truth.

Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-Catching up with Alex, Shannon and my brother.

-Errands run.

-I picked up and laid patio blocks around an area I have decided to make my herb garden.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
