For your consideration…

For some people, this is no big deal. I am not one of them. I am not one of them. While I am pretty good at managing my temper, it has been a lifelong practice. I tend to blurt out exactly what I think…react. I do have to say that I am over it just as quickly.

There is a big difference between react and respond. Our message today tells us that when we react, we are out of control. That is not where we want to be. Reaction is giving up our power, which we never want to do. Instead, we want to wait and respond when we are back in control.

Deepak Chopra wrote, “Every time you are tempted to act in the same old way, ask if you want to be a prisoner of the past or a pioneer of the future.”

We are asked to breathe and make the right choice.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of your light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Respond versus react.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-Finally, a bit of rain in the late afternoon and evening.

-Catching up with Alex and Cathy.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
