For your consideration…

Why do we do it? Why do we put ourselves in the middle of other people’s messes and/or drama?

I feel like this is a tag on to yesterday’s message about giving a “leg up.” It is the flip side…the balance side of helping other people. Helping people help themselves is one side. Always stepping up to help people who do not help themselves is another.

Sometimes it is just easier to clean up the mess ourselves. But where is the lesson for the person constantly making the mess? Sometimes people get comfortable with someone else always cleaning up their mess. Some even start to feel entitled. Sometimes the helper becomes the enabler and part of the problem.

There is something else we have been asked to think about. When we are spending our time, treasure and energy constantly involved in someone else’s life, what/who are we neglecting in our own.? What example are we setting? What aren’t we getting done in our life? How is this fitting in with our life purpose?

We are simple being reminded today to everyone is expected to clean up after themselves if they are physically and mentally able. Sure ever3yone needs that “leg up” sometimes but it is not meant to be a forever crutch.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of your light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

–Don’t become an enabler.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-It was another day that was supposed to be rainy all day but instead was perfect.

-Jul and I took the water taxi to Neptune’s and spent the day there.

-We had dinner at the Mango Tango Inn.

-A chill evening reading a good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
