For your consideration…

“HOPE Around the Corner” is the title of this painting by Bea. I own it. It was given to me by Alex and James as a thank-you gift for letting them live with us while they searched for housing after moving to Michigan. This is one of several paintings donated to the Chad Tough Foundation in honor of Bea’s granddaughter, Vivian, who ultimately succumbed to DIPG. I had actually unsuccessfully bid on this painting. Alex was surprised that this was the painting I had chosen. I was surprised she could think that I could choose another. This painting is perfect, duh…”HOPE.” Also, most all of my artwork is of women, children, or women and children.

I am not surprised that “HOPE around the corner” is our message today. Yesterday, my friend, Beth, and I took Conner and James to the Henry Ford Museum. It is a favorite place of Conner’s. I swear he could conduct tours there, and he is only 4. There is a new exhibit being featured of the Pennsylvania Shakers. In it is a large painting of a Shaker girl peeking out through very large doors. Conner and I talked about how the door seemed to be opening up out of the canvas.

Our message today is simple. Maybe we can’t see HOPE in front of us. That doesn’t mean there isn’t any. Maybe we just have to bend a little and look around a corner.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…HOPE may be around the corner.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Remember…You are the keeper of your light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-I survived the huge storms with my power in tact.

-Beth and I took Owen and Conner to the Henry Ford Museum. The plan had been to go to the Binder Zoo, but the weather had other plans. It was a great day.

-Dinner with Mojdeh was peaceful. Just what I needed.

-I started a new book. It is supposed to be fabulous, but I am having a hard time getting into it. I may have to read another book simultaneously with it.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
