For your consideration…

We are all part of some group or another. More likely, we are part of more than one family, friend, neighbor, work, hobby, church, etc. We are born into a family but other groups we are drawn to for some reason or another. We share commonalities, including ideals, interests, and goals. Our message today acknowledges that being part of groups can make us happy. They can help us grow. They are opportunities to learn, share, teach, vent, etc.

But sometimes, like everything else, there comes a time for reassessment. We find ourselves not uncomfortable. We have lost some of the joy. Perhaps we find ourselves mincing our words, not feeling like we can be honest. Or perhaps, there is outright conflict. We find ourselves torn between being “loyal” and sticking it out or leaving the group.

Everything has a season. Not all alliances are meant to be forever. We can outgrow them. We can find them sucking out our joy versus adding to it. When this happens, we are encouraged to disconnect and leave the group. We should strive to be as honest as we can. Bless the group and walk away.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Assess your group affiliations.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-Finally, got a haircut.

-Sewing done.

-Jul and I picked Jody up from the airport.

-Dinner at the Sidetrack.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
