For your consideration…

An old Neil Diamond song brought in today’s message. The song is “Song Sung Blue.” The song is about turning the “blues” around. It is encouraging by its upbeat tempo.

“Funny thing, but you can sing it with a cry in your voice.

And before you know, it started feeling good.

You simply got no choice.”

We can sit with our disappointment, sadness…our blues…and stay in depression. Or, we can face them head on, talk (or sing) about them. In essence we are releasing them. When we do we will feel lighter and our life starts to turn itself around. Acknowledgement is the first step to turning things around.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light.Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Face our “blues” and let them go.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-An easy road trip back home with Julie and Dianne.

-Catching up with Alex, Bob, Lori, and Jackie.

-An early bedtime.

-A new book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
