For your consideration…

Starting last week, a very loud bird kept grabbing my attention. I have an app…that I love…on my phone. It identifies birds by their song. I use it at home and when I travel. After about the third day, I recorded this bird that I kept hearing. It was identified as the Carolina Wren. It is a tiny bird with a big sound. Three days ago, the bird started hopping onto a shepherd’s hook that I have outside my family room window. He just sits there and stares at me. Often, we are told in our messages to pay attention to the signs that are put in front of us. I told Jody this morning, “OK, that’s it. I’m sure this bird is bringing in our blog’s message.

Wrens are bold and resourceful despite their size. They can sing from dawn to dusk. They are confident and not afraid to take on birds larger than themselves.

In Ted Andrew’s book, Animal-Speak, it tells us this. “If wrens have come into your life, it is time to ask yourself some important questions. Are you using the resources available to you? Are others? Are you not displaying enough confidence? Are you so wrapped up in daily worries that you are forgetting to sing? Are you not staying grounded? Are you not seeing the forest because of the trees? Are you not attacking your life with enough gusto? Wren holds the medicine for using what is available, and it can teach you the most effective means to build within your own environment.”

We all have resources available to us. We don’t have to wait for things, life to happen to us. Our personal power is strong. If and how we use it is up to us.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-That is part of your personal power.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

What made me smile yesterday?

-A beautiful day.

-Jody and I went to South Lyon to check things out.

-We had a fun time at the Moose.

-We had dinner with Alex and Conner.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
