For your consideration…

As soon as this message came in. I remembered a conversation I had with my friend, Vicki, last week. In this conversation, she remarked that it was hard but she bit her tongue and keep her opinion to herself. Today’s message affirms her decision and the value of being an observer versus wading in and being a participant in the situation.

Most of us get caught up in our personal opinion in any given moment. We see it through the lens of the life we are living. We relate according to our own life experiences and perspectives. We are asked to be fully present in the moment, and so this makes sense. But today we are reminded that being fully present must also include consciously making the decision on how we participate. Sometimes we are meant to step back and observe from a higher level.

Stepping back and taking a more neutral look…being an observer…give a chance to explore. What other things influence the situation? Observing from a higher level, gives a broader illumination of the situation.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Be an observer when the situation calls for it.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-The day started early. I picked up Alex, James and the kids at 6:00 AM and got them to the airport for the start of their vacation.

-A fun baby shower.

-A stop for more boxes at Jul’s included coffee and lots of laughs.

-I found purse items I have been looking for for a month. I finally remembered where I hid them. Yikes.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
