I'm nurturing the one body I've been given - I'm committed to growth... who's with me?

For your consideration…

First, I HOPE all mother’s are having a wonderful, peaceful, loving day. And I HOPE that as we think about our own mothers, we can find that same peace.

Today is a very appropriate day for today’s message. When we think about motherhood, we think about responsibility, love, and nurturing.

Our message wants us to reflect on the “nurturing” part. Many of us will get flowers to care for in the coming months now that Spring is in full swing. We will nurture them as we will the rest of our gardens and lawn. Perhaps we will spend more time in Mother Nature and we will take care as we enjoy her blessings. Perhaps, we are caring for our parents or other family members. Maybe we are helping friends through tough times.

We all have a lot going on. It is in our nature to “nurture” and help where we can. Today we are asked to remember to nurture ourselves. We need to take the same concern and care we have for others and apply it to ourselves. When out in Mother Nature, be mindful to let her nurture us back. When friends want to help, we are asked to let them. When we are tired, we are asked to rest. The other day, we were asked to find what comforts us. Use that to help nurture and care for not only our bodies, but also our minds and souls.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of your light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?” Listen and follow what your are given.

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Nurture your body, mind, and Spirit.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-Mary was truly surprised for her birthday party.

-The flowers turned out beautiful, as did the cake Alex brought.

-Seeing lots of friends I haven’t seen in a long time.

-Catching up with Shannon and Cathy.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
