For your consideration…

In training to help those caught up in domestic violence, one of the first things you learn is to call them survivors NOT victims.

This is because the word victim infers helpless, without power. Survivor does exactly the opposite. It references inherent power and ability to overcome.

SurvivingĀ  versus victim is a good example of positive versus negative mindset.

We are reminded that we have control over our mindset. When we have a positive mindset, we set ourselves up for success.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Be aware of your “mindset.” Turn it around when necessary.

What made me smile yesterday…

-Finally, May has arrived with all the promise of warm weather.
