Why do we celebrate Labor Day? - Center for Coalfield Justice

For your consideration…

“Celebrate the fruits of your labor.” That is our message on this Labor Day.

We are reminded to reflect on what we have accomplished and celebrate it with rest and fun. Regenerate that “Can DO” spirit by remembering how far it has gotten us.

That is theĀ HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…”You are loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of your light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness. You light is a gift.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Celebrate you and the fruits of your labor.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-Finished a baby quilt and some sewing for a friend’s granddaughters.

-Made a card to go with the quilt and a couple of birthday ones.

-Catching up with both my girls and Ginger.

-A new book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
