For your consideration…
Our message came in with the Pat Benatar song, “Hit Me With Your Best Shot.” Particularly these lyrics:
You come on with it, come onYou don’t fight fairBut that’s okay, see if I careKnock me down, it’s all in vainI get right back on my feet again
We were given this song to remind us that we don’t have to be fearful of disappointments. If we pause and think about it, we realize that we have a history. We have had many disappointments and yet here we are. We were knocked down and got right back up. It may have been quicker sometimes than others but we did it. We got back up and carried on learning and growing in life’s lessons.
That is the HOPE. And so it is.
Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…
-Affirm…“I am loved.”
-Remember…You are the keeper of your light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.
-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”
-Drink lots of water.
-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.
-Let go of fear. You may get knocked down, but you can get right back up.
What made me smile yesterday…
-A beautiful day.
-I thought I locked myself out of the house but I was blessed with a locked door that wasn’t pulled all the way closed and got back in.
-I decided to go to a new church closer to where I now live. Halfway through the service, I realized I was in the wrong church. However, it was a great service.
-Catching up with Lori, Alex, Shannon, and Cathy.
-A new book.
