The root of suffering is attachment* ~ The Buddha the Law of Detachment is a universal spiritual principle that comes down to separating yourself and your emotions from your goals. Like Deepak

For your consideration…

Today’s message is unexpected but as I sit with it, I see that it is perfect.

There are a couple parts to this message about detachment. The first is exactly as the above meme says. When we detach from the “outcome,” the more space we have for our Guidance to weigh in with solutions and opportunities. We are reminded that detaching from our goals is not giving up. It is pausing to allow ourselves time to relax and rejuvenate.

The second part of “detach” and how today’s message came in tells us to rest. Sometimes we need to hit the pause button. Personally and recently, I declared Sunday as my “pause” day. I have declared it a day that I will not let myself be pressed into doing things I don’t want to do. I should add that the pressure can come from myself as well as others. This “pause” day is not to catch up on other things. It is a down day. A day to catch my breath and do what brings me pleasure, peace, and comfort.

Detaching is important. We must not carry a negative connotation of it.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of your light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Allow yourself to detach when needed.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-I babysat my grandsons in the morning.

-A chill afternoon.

-Alex, Moose, Conner, and Owen spent the night.

-Catching up with Lori and Shannon.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
