For your consideration…

Our message today is about setting boundaries. We want to be kind. We want to be generous. We want to be helpful. We want to be loving. It is the right thing to do. So what is the problem?

The problem is that some people take advantage. Sometimes this is deliberate. Sometimes it is unintentional. We live in a world where there is often a sense of entitlement. We also live in a world where if you stand up to that entitlement, you are villainized. Don’t accept that burden.

The same thing goes for people close to us. We can have a hard time saying “no” or “enough.” But boundaries are healthy choices. You are not a doormat, and acting like one creates resentment. Sometimes “no” is just the kick start someone needs to take personal responsibility.

Setting boundaries is healthy.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of your light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Set healthy boundaries.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-Weeding done.

-Catching up with Alex.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
