For your consideration…

Honestly, until I taught school, I had never heard this saying. In our house my mom was not this polite. She said stop and meant it.

I feel like this message tags on to the “control” messages we have been getting. Yet it is different.

We have a choice. We always have a choice. We can control what we can and let the what we can’t go. Those message were for things that matter to us. Those messages were for “bigger” things. Things that really matter to us.  i

Today’s message is about those little or petty things that bug us. Most days most of us have “annoyances” put in our path. We can’t find a parking spot. The grocery store is out of the one thing we came for. Someone interrupts a conversation., etc. Sh– happens. And we can choose to let the annoyance ruin our mood or we can choose that it is not worth it. It is not worth giving it time in our day. We can accept that it and not throw a fit.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

=Remember…You are the keeper of your light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-You get what you get. Decide whether it is important enough to throw a fit.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-I spent the day at Neptune’s.

-I met a great couple from Pennsylvania. They live on the river on a houseboat. During the winter months when it is on land, they travel to someplace warm to dive.

-A video call from my family. I do miss the family dinner.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
