For your consideration…

I may have written about this before. My parents were divorced. The rules for my childhood were polar opposites. When asking for permission to do something, my Mom needed a good reason why I should be leaving the house. What good could come from it.My dad’s philosophy was the opposite. Unless there was a good reason why I shouldn’t do something, then I should go, have fun, learn, and grow. It was odd that they were so different because both of them lived similar childhoods in the country.

Our message today is about taking some chances and being adventurous. We are never too old to try new things, do things we have always dreamed of, etc. Life is meant to be lived. Every day is a new day with the promise of opportunities. It is up to us to see and seize them.

I love this quote by an unknown author…

“It’s impossible,” said Pride

“It’s risky,” said Experience.

“It’s pointless,” said Reason.

“Give it a try,” whispered the heart.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-There is a good chance that what we are told is not something we do regularly. But we should do it anyway.

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-The day did not go as I had planned. James’ flight schedule changed. He had to go to work. Conner was sick, so my plans had to change. Lucky me, I have understanding friends. My sweet boy was so happy to have me there with him, and I was glad I could do it.

-Started a new book.

-A good night’s sleep.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
