For your consideration…

I laughed at today’s message. Each of us get our messages presented differently. We get them in ways that will grab our attention and make sense to us. I recognized this message in its similarity to something we use in grade school call “rest and return.”

When the wee ones are having a hard time focusing and become disruptive they are given the option to “rest and return.” They can take themselves away from the group instruction and listen elsewhere until they are settled enough to return to the group.

Today’s message tells us that we all have times where we are unsettled, or tired, or restless etc. We all have times where we have low energy and/or can not remain focused. We  have a tendency to push through. Certainly, that is one choice but there is another that we are encouraged to consider.

The other choice is to “rest and re-center.” We can simply take a break…short or long. We can take a day off. We can take a nap. We can meditate. We can breathe. Whatever works for us is perfect. Once we are rested and renewed, we can bring our whole self to the task at hand.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Listen to our Guidance.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water….even more now in the summer’s heat.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Rest and re-center.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A good visit with Mary and Don.

-Car fixed and new car ordered.

-Catching up with Alex and Jackie.

-A good book finished.

-A new recipe.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
