I think I may have mentioned, even this week, that I love it when I am given analogies. And today we have been given another one. How appropriate it is given to us on this last big weekend of the summer.
What happens when we walk the beach? For most of us, whether we realize it or not, it is almost like meditation. Lots of stuff pops in and out of our head as we feel ourselves start to relax into the energy, movement and beat of the sand and water. And have you ever been able to resist stopping to brush away the sand off of some treasure?
We are just like that treasure. We have a history, a story. But just like that treasure we all have a tendency to get covered up. Because in our story we are mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, friends, neighbors, employees, employers etc. They are the sand supporting us. But all that is required to maintain those relationships can also bury us if we are not aware.
So today we are asked to have fun and play. If you aren’t at a beach today, meditate that you are. With every step you take, relax. And gently brush the “sand” off of your Core Essence Spirit. What is your favorite part of you? Shine it up like a new-found gem and where it joyfully. That is the HOPE.
Bit by bit, piece by piece, hope by hope actions steps anyone can take…..
-Meditate. Uncover the best of you, your Core Essence Spirit.
-Take in 10 deep breaths outdoors.
-Drink lots of water.
-Have fun. Rejoice. Relax.
What made me smile yesterday……
-Carol, Judy, Kevin and I have officially kicked off Burger Night. We have a plan. We are ahead of the game. And we had some good fun and breakfast planning it. How efficient is that?
-Judy gave us fresh eggs. She spoils us.
-Bruce and I got a Skype tour of Alex’s new place. Isn’t it just plain fun and amazing we can do that?
-Michigan and Navy won.
