For your consideration…

The message today looks very seriously and it certainly can be. But that is not the way it was delivered. It came in via the song, “The Gambler.” Maybe you remember these words;

“You got to know when to hold them, know when to fold them and know when to walk away.”

Many of us have a hard time walking away from people, relationships, tasks etc. It is hard leaving something undone. Or it is hard giving up on a relationship or a person. We see or feel that walking away is giving up…a failure.

We are asked to consider another perspective. Sometimes we are not meant to stay to the finish. Our part was just that, a part. We did what we could and were supposed to do and now we need to let go. And sometimes, the letting go is the lesson itself. We have to know when to “walk away.” It is not a sign of failure or weakness. It is a sign of strength and growth.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…”I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Know when to walk away and doing it.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-Shopping done.

-A visit and early dinner with Ginger.

-A good book and early bedtime.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
