For your consideration…

It is simple…hard sometimes…but simple. There is an ebb and flow, a balance to life, of holding on and letting go.

It is hard to let go of people and things we love. Today’s message is about the “stuff.” It is hard to let go of those clothes we have that we have loved and that have served us so well but are now seriously out of date. It is hard to get rid of the things we have accumulated that we might use…someday. It is hard to leave a job that we once loved but now bores us or we just no longer like it. It is hard to leave a home that is now just too big for us. You know….stuff.

But our attachment to stuff boxes us in. It disrupts the natural ebb and flow of our life. It takes up space needed for the new and better stuff that is sitting waiting for that space…ready to grab our attention…our attachment.

We are reminded today to get rid of what no longer serves us. Hmmm, just in time for garbage day and maybe a trip to Goodwill.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Get rid of what no longer serves us.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day. Perfect sun, perfect temperature.

-A trip to Blocks for plants for the front porch.

-A trip to Coleman’s for herbs.

-I planted those herbs and the herbs that I have in my aerogarden.

-Catching up with Cathy who sounded wonderful.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
