For your consideration…

I love the song that came in today, “It’s Good To Be Alive (Hallelujah) by Andy Grammer. It is upbeat and fun which is the exact tone of today’s message.

Today is an opportunity. We don’t always wake up grateful but we should. We are lucky to have it. It is a gift ready to be unwrapped full of surprises.

No doubt if we turned on the news, picked up our phone, went on line etc., we found doom and gloom. It is hard to get away from. But we have a choice. We always have a choice. We can reject it. We can listen or see it and choose to not let it become part of our script for the day. We do not have to engage. We can write our own script. We can say, write and do what we want to see promoted. We can change the scenario we are in.

I think I finally found my hallelujah
I’ve been waiting for this moment all my life
Now all my dreams are coming true, yeah
I’ve been waiting for this moment
Feels good to be alive right about now (woo-hoo)
Good, good, good, good to be alive right about now (woo-hoo)
Good, good, good, good to be alive right about now (woo-hoo)
Hallelujah, let that bass line move ya, say hey
Pretty good to be alive right about now (woo-hoo)
We are asked today, encouraged today, to find our hallelujah and promote it. We can do that. Each one of us can choose to find and promote our joy, HOPE and love.
That is the HOPE. And so it is.
Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…
-Affirm…“I am loved.
-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”
-Drink lots of water.
-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.
-Promote your hallelujah.
What made me smile yesterday…
-Little things like getting my outdoor pots back outdoors.
-My brother helping Camille out.
-A beautiful day to be outdoors.
-Gordie and I went to Mac’s softball game and AJ’s lacrosse. Again, it was a beautiful evening to be outside.
Love, Blessings and Gratitude,
Rev. Chris
