For your consideration…

I have thought about this thousands of times and written and spoken it hundreds…death is only a fraction of a breath away.

When we think of death, we think in terms of the physical body. We think in terms of what we can physically touch and feel. HOPEfully, by now, we realize the physical body is not who we are. It is not our essence. It is not what defines or makes us who we are. It is simply a vehicle we use while in this lifetime.

I have written before, maybe I do every Good Friday…I am not sure…I am always unbelievably sad and horrified at Jesus’ crucifixion. It stuns me. But today, I…we…are reminded that it was our new beginning. It is where our soul’s light was fanned and brought to life. It is where our spiritual light and understanding were birthed. Just one breath…between darkness and light. Just one breath…between spiritual unawareness and spiritual understanding.

Let us realize our blessings.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Celebrate each breath.

What made me smile yesterday…

-Sleep doctor done for the year.

-The old me would have been flipped out if I was told my insurance was inactive. The today me just breathed and said, “I am sure you are mistaken.” That confidence much have rang true. A short time later I was called and told they had made a mistake. Um hum…I know.

-Who would think washing golf balls could be fun. Doing it with my brother was.

-A spaghetti dinner fundraiser for Mac’s softball team. Cottage Inn, Ann Arbor, did an amazing job.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
