For your consideration…

Andrew Grant said, “You never get a second chance to make a first impression.

Today’s message is about first impressions. It is an ah ha moment for me. It was only this past Monday that I talked to my second graders about “first impressions” as well as making sure your attention is on the person you are speaking to.

Marketers are very aware of first impressions and the importance of making a few moments count. We see hundreds of examples of it every day through the media and in stores. But we don’t give much thought to it.

First impressions are very important. They are immediate and very hard to overturn once made. They are opportunities. They have been put in our path for a reason. That alone is reason enough to put our best foot forward and the impression a good one.

We are reminded today not only of the importance of first impressions but also how to create them. When making a first impression, be fully present. Engage your mind, eyes, smile and heart into the moment. In other words, be our authentic selves.

That is the HOPE. and so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all.”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaks.

-Be authentic and make the most of first impressions.

What made me smile yesterday…

-My brother came for a visit.

-Bruce and I had good doctor’s appointments.

-Moose’s escapades as captured by Alex.

-Kathy stopped by with some goodies.

-A new recipe that was great. A keeper.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
