“The Fairies’ Harvest”

For your consideration……
Isn’t this picture just wonderful and so perfect for the message today. Again, it is a short one. and again it is meant to be light, playful and reassuring. Here it is:
You have created the bounty you are harvesting in your life. Frequently on this blog I ask that we pause and reflect on what we are grateful for. I personally do this each night before I go to sleep as well as in the “What made me smile yesterday….” part of each blog. A state of gratitude is important fertilizer for our soul.
But today we are being asked to go a layer deeper. Celebrate all we have put in our life from which these day-to-day joys spring forth. Here are some personal examples:
1. I have been blogging the last couple of weeks about my girlfriend Jody visiting and all the things we have done. The deeper layer to be grateful for is this. We are healthy enough to travel. We have created enough money so we can go places and do things. We have cultivated our friendship over 45 years that is still strong. I have a home to invite her to.
2. I frequently right about my children and grandchildren. Often I call them MIA (missing in action). The deeper level I am so grateful for is that I have these children. The joys and struggles of parenthood have enriched my life beyond measure. I have two amazing daughters that contribute immensely to this world. And we have cultivated a relationship where frequent communication is the norm and love is free-flowing.
3. I have a home, while not the mansion of childhood dreams, full of things I love and find beautiful. Not the least of which is a husband who more than anyone else has taught me commitment to partnership.
Ahhh, I feel so blessed. And there is so much more but you get the point.
Your turn. Try it. Do as our angels have asked. Go down just one more layer and celebrate the bounty of your harvest. That is the HOPE.
Bit by bit, piece by piece, hope by hope action steps anyone can take……
-Meditate
-Take a walk around your home taking in some deep breaths, noticing the bounty of your life.
-Drink lots of water. How blessed are we that it is still plentiful? What if it wasn’t?
-Pause before sleep, one more time express gratitude for the bountiful harvest of your life.
What made me smile yesterday…..
-I started on my degree at University of Sedona.
-I stayed in my pj’s all day and did work. Then I took a shower and put on fresh pj’s. Now, you just have to love days like that.
-One of my summer coaching partners, Nancy Sue, and I had an amazing coaching session. Nancy Sue lives in Seattle and she works so the time difference is in effect and we meet later in the evening. What a wonderful way to conclude my day.
