For your consideration….
Today’s message comes from the popular Kenny Chesney song, “Get Along.” The message is specific to one line in the song; “Always give love the upper hand.”
Doesn’t that sound like common sense? Doesn’t it sound easy, choose love first?
Of course it is, until we decide to complicate it. It is easy to pick love and choose to put it first, until we start to judge it, put conditions on it. It is easy until we choose to put it last…take advantage of it and make it come after everything else because we believe it will always be there for us. We believe this because love is our trump card. We know that it trumps everything. Sometimes we take advantage of that knowing.
We are asked today to never put love last. Instead always give it the upper hand. Defer to it. Make every choice come from love.
That is the HOPE. And so it is.
Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…
-Affirm…“I am loved.”
-Drink lots of water.
-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.
-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”
-Choose to make every decision, action, word and deed come from love.
What made me smile yesterday…
-Bruce’s surgery went very well.
-Shannon sticking by me.
-Alex was able to come home late last night.
-Breakfast with Mary before heading to the hospital.
