Don’t Stop
(in part)
Songwriters: Christine McVie
If you wake up and don’t want to smile
If it takes just a little while
Open your eyes and look at the day
You’ll see things in a different way
Don’t stop thinking about tomorrow
Don’t stop, it’ll soon be here
It’ll be, better than before
Yesterday’s gone, yesterday’s gone
Why not think about times to come?
And not about the things that you’ve done
If your life was bad to you
Just think what tomorrow will do
Don’t stop thinking about tomorrow
Don’t stop, it’ll soon be here
It’ll be, better than before,
Yesterday’s gone, yesterday’s gone
For your consideration…
We have a choice. We always have a choice. Do we want to wake up and expect good or bad? Do we want to see the best in people or the worse? Do we want to believe in miracles or not? Do we want to believe everything will be ok or not? Do we thing there is a solution or not? Do we think we can make a difference or not? Do we believe that light destroys darkness or not? Do we believe love triumphs evil or not?
The state of the Universe depends on our choices. We are asked to believe in all that is possible and choose light and love.
That is the HOPE. And so it is.
Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…
-Affirm…“I am loved.”
-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”
-Drink lots of water.
-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.
-Choose HOPE and love. Choose to make a difference.
What made me smile yesterday…
-A good trip to the gym that I just realized is close to where Bruce has his PT. I should have figured this out months ago.
-A good book.
-Shannon is loving skiing and Alex is loving scuba diving.
-A good night with my grandkids.
Love, Blessings and Gratitude,
Rev. Chris
