“Stairway of Dreams” by Josephine Wall

For your consideration…

As children we have HOPEs and dreams that we act out in play. As we grow we sometimes tend to think of some of them as childish. We let reality overrule them.

Our message today tells us that the child in us had it right. The play we acted out as children was just practice for when we got older. We are never too old to have HOPEs and dreams. We should all have them.

Today we are asked to do a few things. One, focus on our HOPEs and dreams. Spend time on them each and every day. Write them down. Create some affirmations for them. Visualize them. Consider creating a vision board. Ask our Guidance for help in achieving them.

Second, while we are focusing on them, we are asked to make sure they are completely ours. They are our creation. They are our heart’s desires and not what someone else expects from us. We are reminded that they are not about impressing others rather what will fill our own heart and soul.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water. Even in the winter we need lots of water even if we are not craving it.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Get back to focusing on our HOPEs and dreams.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A great new bread recipe. It was great with our corn chowder on a cold winter’s day.

-School was canceled for today. Rarely do we get a heads up the day before.

-All the cards I need through February are done. Wahoo. February is a big month for me.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths. If you are with me here in the deep freeze, try not to hold your breath when you go outside and instead take those deep breaths in.

-Alex and James started their for real honeymoon and jetted off to Thailand.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
