For your consideration…

Today’s message gave my pause because I know so many people who are struggling through this holiday season. As the HOPE and joy of the season amp up, their sadness is also amplified.

But as I sat with the message, I realized how very very true it is. No matter what circumstances you find yourself in…indeed…the best is yet to come.

Think about it. What do we strive for? What is the purpose of our lives? Would attaining it not be the best? And when our physical life is over, isn’t the best waiting for us?

The best is yet to come is the Faith and HOPE of our belief system. It is at the core of who we are. So the next time we are having a “moment,” remember it is just at moment. The best is yet to come.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Always remember…the best is yet to come.

What made me smile yesterday…

-Someone had written in sidewalk chalk on the playground “Poop.” A couple of my young 5’s asked, “What does that say?” I responded, “That is not a very nice word. I’m not going to say.” One of the boys looks at me in confusion, “It says, “It’s not very nice?” He may not be able to read but he knows that was too many words for the one written on the sidewalk.

-Some baking done.

-Gift cards to one of my favorite grocery stores which I promptly used.

-A good book.

Love, blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
