For your consideration…

Probably most of us have played the game “rock, paper, scissors” or at least know of it. We use it to determine a winner between 2 or 3 people who want the same thing. It is fair because each person has equal chance at winning. When my daughter, Alex, was at the United States Naval Academy, she won a couple of times. One was a ride on a hovercraft giving an officer a ride from a ship into Honolulu due to a family emergency. Another time she won and got to ride in a news helicopter that was covering Fleet Week in New York City.

Today we are reminded that we all have dominate personality traits. It is who we are. It is who we need to be. But that does not mean that we should always “crush, cut or cover.” Sometimes our role is to support rather than win. After all, like other messages this week have indicated, a true win is when everyone is able to reach their full potential and complete their life purpose.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths…even if it is from our front porch or going to and from our car.

-Be aware of our role/purpose in any given situation.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A lazy day with my grandchildren.

-A good book.

-Sunshine.

-Talking to my brother.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
