For your consideration…….

Today I knew the message was something about wringing the joy out of each day but I knew there was more and was struggling getting it. Asking for clarification, I was told to go to the song, ”  I HOPE you Dance.”

So much of life is about balance; old/new, triumphs/tragedies, wins/losses, peace/struggle etc. Today we are being asked to just accept all of that and move forward in the HOPE of finding love and joy. We are being reminded that the “risk” is worth taking as this song talks about.

I HOPE You Dance

Lee Ann Womack

I hope you never lose your sense of wonder
You get your fill to eat
But always keep that hunger
May you never take one single breath for granted
God forbid love ever leave you empty handed
I hope you still feel small
When you stand by the ocean
Whenever one door closes, I hope one more opens
Promise me you’ll give faith a fighting chance

And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
I hope you dance
I hope you dance

I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance
Never settle for the path of least resistance
Living might mean taking chances
But they’re worth taking
Lovin’ might be a mistake
But it’s worth making
Don’t let some hell bent heart
Leave you bitter
When you come close to selling out
Reconsider
Give the heavens above
More than just a passing glance

And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
I hope you dance
(Time is a real and constant motion always)
I hope you dance
(Rolling us along)
I hope you dance
(Tell me who)
I hope you dance
(Wants to look back on their youth and wonder)
(Where those years have gone)

I hope you still feel small
When you stand by the ocean
Whenever one door closes, I hope one more opens
Promise me you’ll give faith a fighting chance

And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
Dance
I hope you dance
I hope you dance
(Time is a real and constant motion always)
I hope you dance
(Rolling us along)
I hope you dance
(Tell me who)
(Wants to look back on their youth and wonder)
I hope you dance
(Where those years have gone)

(Tell me who)
I hope you dance
(Wants to look back on their youth and wonder)
(Where those years have gone)

Bit by bit, piece by piece, hope by hope action steps anyone can take……

-Meditate. Whatever method works for you is great. Laying down, sitting comfortably on the floor or in a chair, with music, without music, guided or unguided, in the morning or at night etc.

-Drink lots of water.

-Gratitude journals are great. But if you are not writing in one, consider recapping your day right before you go to sleep and pull out some people and things you are grateful for.

-If you have sunshine, spend some time in it.

What made me smile yesterday…..

-It was a relaxing day with just one short trip to a couple of stores.

-Dinner with friends, Bob and Jody. You know I like having company for dinner. (And it was good.)

-My friend, Yvonne, came over with a new catalog and ideas for cards. So fun. I can not wait.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Chris
