“Make Believe” by Royal Daulton

For your consideration…

My sense is that today’s message is a continuation of yesterday’s. Yesterday we were asked to focus on the what “if” our dreams came true. Today’s message asks us to make “sure the shoe fits.”

As soon as I received this message, I remembered this figurine given to me by my Aunt Bev. When she gave it to me, she said it reminded her of me as a child. I used to love to clump around the house in Mom’s heals and dress up.

Today’s message gives us an analogy. Most women will relate to today’s message because it compares our life to shoes.

We have all done it. We have bought that beautiful pair of shoes that put our feet in pain shortly after we put them on. We have all sacrificed comfort for style. We have all wore the wrong shoes for an event. We have all paid too much for a pair. We have all refused to invest in what a pair that is really good for us. We have all bought the wrong size and wore them anyway…or not…just let them sit in the closet. We have all had a pair we refused to part with long after they were worn out. We have all had shoes that won’t stay tied. We have all wore a pair that are dangerous ie; slippery, too high, no tread, too hard to walk in etc. We have all bought a pair just because we liked how they looked on someone else. We have all been persuaded by marketing to buy shoes whether we needed them or not. We have all borrowed someone else’s and walked in them.

You get the picture . We are asked to make sure we are wearing the right shoes…living our right life…the life we chose and feel confident, comfortable and happy with.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Wear the life that fits you best.

What made me smile yesterday…

-Great classes.

-Seeing students that I have not seen in a long time.

-Leftovers.

-A good book and early bedtime. Ahhh.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
