For your consideration…

As I think about it, how can today’s message be anything else. It seems everywhere we have turned this week we hear anger. Anger before the election. Anger after the election. Violence in California as well as raging fires. Yikes. Perhaps we feel bombarded and helpless.

Our message today reminds us that we are not helpless. We are powerful. It is up to us to tap into it and release its energy wherever we go.

Peace Prayer of St. Francis.

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace:
where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy.

O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console,
to be understood as to understand,
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
Amen.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Be peace.

What made me smile yesterday…

-My class was so tough, I had to laugh to keep from crying.

-Leftovers.

-Catching up with Jackie, Cathy, and both my girls.

-An early bedtime.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
