For your consideration….

So here is the deal. Most of us accept that we all like different things. For example, some people’s idea of vacation is to go somewhere and see and do as much as you can. For me, that sounds horrid because my idea of a vacation is to basically drop out of my life and just chill. Some people find gardening relaxing and fun while others find it work. We get these things. We accept these things. We accept that people like different things. We don’t argue about it because  it is what makes life interesting.

So where does it fall apart? Where is that line that gets crossed and we not only disagree but we can not even listen to someone that does not share our likes, dislikes, opinions etc.? What creates that line? It is judgment. It is when people decide to judge that the line is crossed and we no longer accept and appreciate that it takes all kinds. When judgment enters in, we lose sight of the value of diversity, differences, the unique.

Today we are asked to just think about that for a minute and consider suspending judgment and celebrating that “it takes all kinds” in all things.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths. Put you bare feet on Mother Earth.

-Suspend judgment and celebrate, “It takes all kinds.”

What made me smile yesterday….

-A good nights sleep.

-Lots of tasks done at a slow and steady pace.

-A movie with my women’s circle…..fun.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
