In part from “Thinking Our Loud”

writers; Amy Wadge/Ed Sheeran

‘Cause honey your soul can never grow old, it’s evergreen
Baby your smile’s forever in my mind and memory
I’m thinking ’bout how people fall in love in mysterious ways
Maybe it’s all part of a plan
I’ll just keep on making the same mistakes
Hoping that you’ll understand
But baby now
Take me into your loving arms
Kiss me under the light of a thousand stars
Place your head on my beating heart
I’m thinking out loud
That maybe we found love right where we are, oh
For your consideration…
So much for sleeping in. These words, this song, woke me at 4;45 am this morning. I recognized the song but only knew a few of the words before. As I pulled them up this morning, I realized how perfect they were..
Often we search and search for love. We are on this endless journey. Certainly, this is a good thing. Love is the only thing that is real and trumps everything else 100% of the time, 24/7, in this life and throughout lifetimes. But today’s message reminds us to be aware of being so focused on searching for love, that we miss the love that surrounds us right where we are.
Our journey for love, all kinds of love is good. We can never have too much love. However, let us notice and celebrate the love that surrounds us right where we are.
That is the HOPE. And so it is.
Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…
-Affirm…“I am loved.”
-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”
-Drink lots of water. It helps cleanse our body, mind and spirit.
-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.
-Celebrate the love that surrounds you.
What made me smile yesterday…
-I  had the window open a bit, yes it is cold out, but I could not resist. I was rewarded with the birds singing as I woke up.
-An early walk.
-Lunch with my friend, Dianne.
-A good book.
Love, Blessings and Gratitude,
Rev. Chris
