For your consideration…..

We see it all of the time. Many of us love to go to antique stores, swap meets, auctions, second-hand stores. We love when people give us things or when we find a bargain on something someone else has discarded.

We are reminded of this for a couple of reasons. First, if we no longer need something, if it is sitting idle we should consider giving it away or selling it. I do this often to the Kidney Foundation that pick up at my house or our domestic violence center. But I would be disingenuous if I let you believe that I don’t have lots more I can do. We are always surprised on garbage day what people pick up out of our trash. Since I have been in Utila, I have seen the same thing happen. How I wish I could bring the items in my basement here.!

There is a second part to today’s message. It isn’t just “things” that get trashed for others to find. It can be people. It can be relationships. It can be feelings. All these things can be treasured by someone new.

Every person, place and thing can be another person’s treasure.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….

-Affirm…”I am loved”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Share or purge what no longer serves you, what you no longer value.

What made me smile yesterday….

-Another beautiful day in Utila.

-Lots of walking.

-Lunch in town where we picked up some fresh shrimp and supplies for a dinner in.

-Cocktails and a good book on down by the water.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
