For your consideration….

I literally laughed out loud when I got this message this morning because I was given the example of students rolling their eyes. I always feel like saying, “Seriously, is that meant to be a protest, do you not understand something, too much information, unhappy in general….what? Spit it out.”

Our message is this. Body language is important. We have heard this message before referencing social media. All to often people get involved in arguments due to misunderstanding because they could not see the body language that told them it was a joke etc.

Today’s message tells us that if our body language does not match our words and deeds, we are not having effective communication. If we are grimacing while congratulating someone, they may not think we are sincere. If we have a confused look on our face while we say we understand, we are not instilling confidence. And visa versa. It goes both ways.

We are reminded today to make sure our body language matches our words if we want to effectively communicate. And if in communications with others their body language does not match their words, take the moment to get it cleared up. Don’t walk away with doubts that can mushroom into all kinds of thoughts that may or may not be true.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Pay attention to body language…yours and others.

What made me smile yesterday….

-Middle schoolers.

-An easy day.

-Catching up with Jackie and Alex

-A good book and early bedtime.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
