The Seventh Day; God Rests

1. Thus the heavens and the earth were completed, and all their hosts.

2. By the seventh day God completed His work which He had done, and He rested

on the seventh day from all His work which he had done…

For your consideration…

Uh yeah, most of us have gotten away from using Sunday as a day of rest. Even those who go to church, march right into the day doing chores and tasks catching up and making preparations for the upcoming week.

Today we are asked to consider taking it slow. Chill out. At the minimum don’t beat ourselves up and layer ourselves in guilt with not getting things done. It is unnecessary and serves no purpose.

I once read something that said to use Sunday as a day to let your soul catch up with your body. I think this stuck with me because like meditation and getting outdoors and taking in 10 deep breaths, it acknowledges the importance of syncing our body, mind and soul.

So today, don’t feel guilty. Chill out and be happy that you are doing exactly what you need.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Rest, sync your body, mind and spirit.

What made me smile yesterday…..

-A day with my Sister and Brother.

-A beautiful Florida day.

-We had a great visit with our Uncle Harold, Jean, Paul and Sammy.

-A short stop at the casino.
