For your consideration….

Enough seems to be the word of the week. Who knew? It caused me confusion this morning until I continued sitting in silence and let our message come into focus.

Our message today is exactly this:

“You can not define another’s enough and they can not define yours.”

We all do it. We all make statements, judgments and ask questions about others.

Why are they doing that? They should do ….

Why don’t you do this?

When are they ever going to…?

If only they would….

etc. etc. etc.

We have lots of opinions about what others should or should not be doing. Sometimes we just think them. Sometimes we say it out loud. It is helpful to be able to bounce ideas off friends and relatives. It is helpful to have someone give us their honest opinion and tell us when we are coming off the rails heading down a dark path.

It is helpful until we no longer can hear our own voice or until we are being coerced. Then t is no longer helpful. It is harmful. Only we know when enough is enough. We can not define it for anyone else and they can not define it for us.

While someone sees an opportunity another may see a disaster waiting to happen. The opportunities we decide to pursue and the pace we choose to pursue them can only be decided by us. Only we know what we are comfortable handling. Only we can know what fits into our life purpose.

We are asked to be aware of our “enough.”

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Work your own “enough” and let others work their own.

What made me smile yesterday…..

-Oh my! I survived a kindergarten class. Sweet hearts but lots of action.

-I made a mistake and mixed up our dinner plans with friends. Oh well, we made the most of it and had dinner out last night too.

-A call from my sister, Lori.

-A good book and early bedtime.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
