For your consideration….

Many of us are probably happy it is Friday. It is part of a pattern. We work all week counting down the days until another weekend arrives. Sunday night we evaluate what we had planned to get done and did we do it. And/or we start thinking about our work and what needs to get done beginning Monday morning.

Falling into habits and patterns is easy and comforting but we can also fall into some ruts. Sometimes we get sad, frustrated or even angry with “it all.”

In today’s message we are reminded that we have the power to get out of the rut. We have the personal power to set a new course. I remember us having a message I use personally. One way to interrupt or disrupt is to have a personal story in your pocket that always makes you laugh when you think about it. Today’s message gives us another tool. Find a motivational message to think about.

Notice that the message suggests thinking about. That means giving pause and reflecting on it. We can ask ourselves questions. Do I agree? Does it fit in my life? Can it be a course correction? How can I apply it? Or we can decide this is not the message for us and we can continue to search for another that is more appropriate. No matter what we decide, we can notice that our pattern for this moment has been disrupted. We have interrupted the norm. We have set the stage for an altered course.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Grab a book of motivational quotes. When we need to disrupt and get out of our funk or rut, open to a random page and see what is revealed to you. Consider, is random really random?

-Welcome in the first day of fall…the Fall Equinox at 4:02 EST today.

What made me smile yesterday…..

-A beautiful day.

-A plan to resolve AJ’s phone issues only took a few minutes.

-I wanted to go grocery shopping but forgot. But no problem. I improvised and it was great.

-Talking to Jackie to start my day.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
