For your consideration…..

Today’s message is short but really gave me pause.

When we think about “logic,” logically speaking and/or thinking, we tend to think of it as more concrete than abstract. We tend to think of it as being more science based and factual.

Logic; reasoning conducted or assessed according to strict principles of validity.”experience is a better guide to this than deductive logic”

The key here is that those “strict principles of validity” are individual. Each of us has discovered, interpreted them and implemented them based on our own life experiences and the lens through which we see life.

Our message points this out so that we are aware that logic varies from individual to individual. “Logically speaking/thinking” does not mean that it must make sense to everyone. Just because someone labels something as logical does not mean it is logical to everyone. We don’t have to feel bad….there is nothing wrong with us….if we don’t see their logic. We can and should respect the logic of others but that does not mean we should claim it as our own.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Honor your own logic.

What made me smile yesterday….

-One of our students has a silent crush on a fellow classmate. He tells his mother, “I didn’t even know her name was a name. I never heard it before.”

-We are stressing “silent signals” versus “blurting out.”  Every student understands the thumbs up or thumbs down signal except for one…..there is always one….who holds up his index finger when giving thumbs up.

-A beautiful day.

-Dinner out.

-Alex made it home safe and sound.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
