For your consideration….

Initially, whining may feel good. It is like a little release valve. But we know that is it absolutely counter productive.

Teddy Roosevelt said,  “Complaining about a problem without posing a possible solution is called whining.” Every moment we spend whining is a moment we wasted on doing something productive about whatever it is that has us in a tizzy.

There is nothing wrong with whining when we recognize it as a call to action. It is the dwelling on problems rather than moving on and focusing on a solution that is harmful.

Perhaps we had a long weekend. Perhaps we did not get things done. Perhaps a new problem has cropped up. Perhaps people around us are crabby and whining. Perhaps we are worried. Whatever has set us off can be turned around when we pause, take a breath, look around us and see what others are dealing with and take a fresh look and see all that we are blessed with. Then move on with a positive productive attitude.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths. Be grateful if you can get outdoors safely.

-Be grateful.

What made me smile yesterday….

-Breakfast with Mary and then Sam’s Club shopping.

-A beautiful sunny day.

-Hearing from my loved ones in Florida and finding out they are safe.

-Catching up with Jackie and Jody.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
