For your consideration….

All too often we are listening to reply. All to often we are listening to constant chatter going on in our heads. All too often we find ways to fill the silence with noise to listen to.

Active listening involves listening to hear what the speaker is saying and intending. It requires our full attention. Giving another our full attention is a gift. It is a sign of respect. It is also how learn. Active listening can save us time and effort because we hear the whole story or set of instructions.

Learning to be a good listener can be difficult if we are out of practice. Perhaps the most difficult is learning to listen to the silence. All too often we want to fill the silence. Many of us are uncomfortable with silence yet it is vital to hearing our Guidance. Each of us needs to turn off outside noise, let go of the clutter mucking up our silence, so that we can clearly hear our Guidance. We need to do this every day.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Listen.

What made me smile yesterday….

-A lazy morning.

-Lunch with my neighbor.

-A short nap.

-Yearly physical done. Check.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
