Spiritual Understanding

For your consideration…..

Besides today’s message, I am going to explain a little bit about how it was received. I have a strong sense that is important as well.

I’m at my wonderful, peaceful, Stillwater. I slept in this morning. Then moseyed around the cottage for a while. I felt an urgency to meditate outside. It is not warm but with warm clothes and the sun, it is heavenly. When I settled down to meditate, a conversation I had yesterday with my friend, Dianne, kept coming up. Perhaps you know how that happens. When I have interference with my meditation, I always ask that the “chatter” be tabled for another time. I have a little old man who comes in with a bag on a stick slung over his shoulder. I try to put the random thoughts in there. Or if there is too much, I have a little freight train that appears and try to chuck everything in there. Every meditator has had their on way of dealing with the random chatter.

Today, no matter how many times I tried to stow away the conversation, it kept coming back until finally I asked the question, “Is this the message?” Immediately my wind chimes that have been gently chiming all evening and morning, go crazy. So I say, “I’ll take that as a yes.” As soon as I said that…”got it”….they went back to their slow gentle chimes. I finished meditating and as always, pulled an angel card for myself to journal. The card that jumped out was, “Spiritual Understanding.”

So what is the message and why are the mechanics of how I got it important?

Yesterday’s conversation with Dianne began with her talking about possibly putting on a retreat, the pros and cons. As we talked we discussed the importance of “putting yourself first” and why that is important. We also talked about “judgment.”

We all search for the meaning of life. We all wonder about it. It does not matter who you call God, what your religion is or even if you have neither. We all wonder why we are here and what our purpose is.

There is no better way to spiritual understanding and life purpose than “putting yourself first and suspending judgment.” Let me explain why. We ALL have the ability to communicate with our Guidance. For a few it is very easy. For the rest of us it is a learned remembrance.

The very best way to establish a connection with our Guidance is to be still on a consistent basis. And if possible, doing it at about the same time each day. Also very important is that we suspend judgment. We can’t hear if we have the judgment from our ego jumping.

Life gets in the way. I understand. But putting yourself first is an investment that will save to time, trouble, money etc. in the future. When we can hear our Guidance, we receive clear priorities and endless possibilities. When we suspend judgment, HOPE is ever-present. We realize that we have no limitations because there is always a way, always a solution. We realize we are in a partnership.

We are not lost in the woods with wolves. We have not been thrown into the ocean as shark bait. Yet it can feel that way sometimes when we “go it alone.”

We are asked today to put ourselves first. Get still on a regular basis and establish communication with our Guidance. Listen for the response. Be open. Perhaps you will not hear words. Perhaps you will be given a sign instead, like I did today when I asked the question, “Is this the message?” The wind chimes rang out the resounding “YES.”

That is the HOPE., And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths. If possible, spend some time outdoors.

-Learn to be still.

What made me smile yesterday…..

-Four and five year old screaming and coming to get me to get rid of the bugs on the slide. Yup, I’m a hero.

-Talking to Dianne and Jody.

-A visit with my Stillwater neighbors.

-A GREAT night’s sleep.
